Steps to Enrollment

Here are the steps to successfully register in classes at SBCC:

1. Click here to apply to the college (REQUIRED) 

  • Once you have applied on CCC apply you must complete the following steps:
    • CLICK HERE to access your Student Pipeline account. Click "find and set up your account here."
    • CLICK HERE for instructions to set up your SBCC Pipeline account.  
      The SBCC Pipeline portal will allow you to complete college transactions including checking registration status, finding your SBCC I.D., add and drop classes, etc.
    • CLICK HERE for instructions to find your Student ID Number (SBCC K number)
    • CLICK HERE to Apply for Financial Aid (Optional)
    • Local Santa Barbara High School Students 
      The SBCC Promise will provide any local student who completes their secondary education within the Santa Barbara Community College District with the opportunity to attend SBCC full-time for two years FREE of charge.

2. CLICK HERE to Participate in WElcome Orientation (REQUIRED) 

Learn about student support services for your success!

SBCC college orientation is required for the following students: 

  • Never attended college before, or only attended while in high school and have a goal/plan of: 
    • Associate Degree or Certificate of Achievement
    • Transfer to 4-year School
    • Basic English/Math/Reading Skills
    • Undecided Goal
  • New Transfer Students, enrolling at SBCC who previously attended another institution
 

3. click here TO ASSESS (REQUIRED) 

Mandatory Assessment of your skills in English and mathematics helps you achieve your goals in college by placing you into courses in which you will be successful. Many classes have prerequisites - check the Schedule of Classes prior to your registration appointment.  

 

4. CLICK HERE For CLASS PLANNING (REQUIRED) 

Academic counseling is required of all students who are new to college, or attended only while in high school, and who plan to earn a Certificate, Associate Degree, or transfer to a four-year college.

Options to complete academic advising: online  or in-person class planning session

 

5. click here to Register and Pay (REQUIRED) 

Register for classes online during priority or
open registration. Pay fees on or before the deadline.
